-Speaker: George Dorrill, retired attorney from Kosciusko, Mississippi
-Program: “Alabamians in the Saddle: Johnson’s Brigade at the Battle of Brice’s Crossroads” – Come learn about the least studied group of fighting men at one of the most famous battles to take place in Mississippi during the Civil War. Not part of Maj. Gen. N.B. Forrest’s command the small brigade of 500 cavalry troopers were called from their home territory in north Alabama at the last moment to take part in what would be their most substantial action of the War.
NEWS and UPDATES:
-September 30, 2024: “We had an encouraging turnout for our September meeting, and the decision was made to move the meeting time up to enable those who attend from further away to get back home from the meetings earlier. So come at 6:00 next Tues. evening for refreshments, and we’ll plan to start the program at 6:30.”

Unless otherwise noted the Starkville Civil War Roundtable meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Golden Triangle Planning and Development building located at 106 Miley Dr., Starkville, MS 39759. Please come 6:00pm to enjoy refreshments and claim your seat as programs begin promptly at 6:30pm!
